ZaNeciya, a native of New York City, discovered her passion for music at an early age while singing in church. Her upbringing was steeped in the world of music, with her father, a pianist, and her mother, a songwriter and actress, fostering an environment rich in creativity. ZaNeciya's musical roots intertwined seamlessly with her love for acting, leading her to embark on a journey that would define her as a versatile artist.

 

As she nurtured her talents, ZaNeciya and her younger sister formed 'The Harris Sisters', a captivating singing duo known for their resonant harmonies and soul-stirring performances. Meanwhile, she pursued her academic endeavors at Pace University, earning both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Media & Communications. With her firm grounding in media and communications, ZaNeciya transitioned effortlessly into the world of filmmaking, where her vision came to life in the form of the compelling short film 'No Witnesses'. This endeavor marked the inception of her own production company, Calligraphy Productions, solidifying her role as a director and producer. Graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) further enriched her artistic repertoire, equipping her with the skills and confidence to make a profound impact on stage and screen.
